How HySkyll Works

Skill-based wagering — where outcomes are determined entirely by player performance, not chance — is legal in most US states. Think of it like fantasy sports: you win because you played better, not because of a random draw. HySkyll checks your state at registration and blocks access in the 12 states where it isn't permitted. We're currently available nationwide except those 12 restricted states — 38 states plus Washington, DC — and expanding. We're not a casino and we're not gambling — your skill is the only variable.

Stats come directly from official APIs — Riot Games for Valorant, League of Legends, and Teamfight Tactics; the Faceit Data API for CS2 (CS2 lobbies require a linked Faceit account; CS2 Premier / Steam matchmaking is not available via public API); Bungie for Destiny 2; and KRAFTON's official PUBG API for PUBG: Battlegrounds. We never install anything on your machine. There's no client-side component. We request the same data these services use to power their own ranked leaderboards, directly from their servers, after the match window closes. Cheating the result would require compromising the upstream provider's own databases — which is outside the reach of any individual player.

Either participant can file a dispute on any active or completed match through their match detail page. Once filed, the match status moves to UNDER REVIEW and our team examines the raw API data, the match timeline, and any submitted evidence — typically within 24 hours. Possible outcomes: Challenger wins, Opponent wins, Draw (both players refunded minus a processing fee), or No Action (original result stands). Funds remain locked in escrow for the full duration of review.

Each integration uses the upstream provider's official public API — no unofficial data sources or scraper endpoints. Wallet credits are instant. The moment a match resolves, the winner's available balance updates — you'll see it reflected immediately on your wallet dashboard. Withdrawals to an external bank account or card take 1–3 business days via Stripe payouts, which is standard for ACH bank transfers. There are no withdrawal fees charged by HySkyll; standard Stripe processing fees may apply depending on your payout method.

HySkyll retains a small platform fee that varies by game mode. There are no subscription fees, sign-up fees, or hidden charges — you only pay when you compete. Full details are available in our Terms of Service.
